I bought this at the last minute, not having done any research beforehand. I absolutely love it! The look/color matches my kitchen and other appliances, it's easy to use, and I can't get over the perfect overhead lights.

I ordered the exact same model as the last one, even though my first one failed after only four years, because the fitment (vent location, power, etc.) is kinda custom and I didn't want to have to re-do the vent system.

This hood is attractive but it rattles when operating. The higher the speed, the louder the rattle and vibration. I use it as little as possible. The lights are nice. I would not purchase it again.

This unit matching all of my other GE appliances perfectly. It operates with perfection. I'm going to change the halogen lights that were included to LED. The halogen lights run a little warm but it doesn't affect the unit.

Product was easy to install and it came with a kit to attach it to outside venting. Controls look and work well. Full filter coverage over vent intake gives a more finished look.

Unfortunately this fan stopped working 2 months after installation. When in use before it quit, it was loud and then started to squeak, then quit. I want to love this fan but I am so disappointed in its function. This complaint should be on me, but I thought there were two exhausts. I ordered it online and from the photo, with two filters, I assumed the exhaust was on both sides. There is only one.

This hood was the final piece of our new kitchen. The charcoal filter eliminates cooking odors which is hidden behind the grease filter. The two light settings is great for cooking and on low setting puts that nice accent on our slate colored GE stove. My wife is short and we purchased a remote control that is remote control ready for that my wife can control the fan and lights. Great job GE on this hood.

Nice looking hood, very quiet.& powerful fan. I love that the bottom is covered & the night light feature that dims the lights. My only issue was the screws that hold the hood to the brackets were way too big (not self tapping) to go through the bracket holes so I had to tap those holes. Other than that it was a simple install (true vent)

It looks good, it sounds as I expected for the price and the stats. The halogen lights are a poor choice. Similar LED bulbs are longer so they don't fit. The worst thing is the instructions do not match the product. Instructions say use screw F. There is no F. Another place it tells you to insert a machine thread screw into a hole impossibly too small. The predrilled holes in the hood don't match the damper holes. In the drawing the left bracket is on the right and the right on the left. How can they give us such poor instructions? I am a competent electrician, handy with installing products. If you are not, try another product.

Hood itself seems to work ok. I've not used it but twice. Dissatisfied that out of the box the vent filters were dented (GE did replace them). And there are two cosmetic issues found, but it was past the deadline to report.

Love the looks and the operation, but trying to replace the bulbs is a challenge. The biggest problem is the lights get so hot that it bakes the plastic hardware that holds the light socket, causing it to become brittle, and so it breaks when you apply pressure to remove the bulbs. After replacing said hardware, and removing covers to squeeze my hand inside to keep it from breaking, finally decided it was just not worth the trouble.

Overall a great product for the price. I will warn however, that the structure is not very solid. Ours is mounted under a cabinet; via 4 screws. The item is not heavy so four small screws does the trick unfortunately, when looking at it straight on, it does look slightly twisted as if it's not flat with the bottom of the cabinet. I attribute this to thin gauge steel used to assemble it. A very minor issue in my opinion. I would recommend this product

It is a nice looking piece but if you ever need to change the light bulbs in the hood you may as well change out the whole hood which is easier than changing the bulbs. The lighting design is junk Both bulb sockets broke while trying to change the 25 dollar bulbs.
