Once we installed the oven we could t open the door. Seams to be locked. We unplugged it and waited (tried resetting it) and the only other option was to put self clean. However all the books are inside so not an option.
Has this happened to anyone else? How would one fix this?

We remodeled our kitchen for the sale of our home. The digital display on this wall oven is malfunctioning, and parts of the digits that display the time of day as well as use of the timer only partially display. It is very annoying. We've only had the oven for less than 2 years. GE told us to turn off the circuit breaker and then turn it on again. That did not help and GE has offered no additional help to resolve the issue. Very disappointing.

I had no trouble installing the oven and the features are easy to use. I like the steam clean and the remote access features. No need to take out the racks when self-cleaning is use. All in all this oven is a big improvement over the other GE oven we had.

This oven is a replacement for the GE oven that was originally installed when the house was buil house in 1956!
I hope this one lasts as long. Needless to say this oven has many more convenient features then the over half century old model. It's going to take a while to get around to using them all.

We ordered this particular model as this was the quickest available (4weeks out) during the quarantine pandemic. Fairly pleased other than it seems to make our kitchen hot during and after use with the fan blowing from underneath the unit. Heats quickly and cooks evenly.

Temperature control is right on and fluctuates little around the setpoint. The control panel is responsive. The fan noise is low, it gets a little louder during the cleaning cycle. Self cleaning of the racks is great, no more tedious scrubbing. So far we are happy with this oven.

I replaced a 20 year old 27 inch wall oven with the new GE model. New one is state of the art. More interior room and shelf height options. Oven temperatures are more realistic. Oven vent runs all the way across the bottom under the oven door which is nice improvement. Controls are very easy to use and with a few drops of vegetable oil, the grates slide in and out easily. love the oven.

It's New! Everything works great and it has more "bells and whistles" than the 1980 GE wall oven that it's replacing. The thing I liked the most was GE kept the same size as the old one, so it was a easy fit....it should get 5 stars; but nothing is perfect.

The GE smart oven was easy to set up and install out of the box the features are awesome can start a preheat with out even being at home is one of the best features my oven offers I lost my 30 year old kenmore wall oven and had to find a suitable replacement as the wife says I have a champagne taste on a beer budget but she doesn't complain about my cooking with the GE smart oven the only complaint I have is I have to cook everything 10-15-20 minutes longer than what is suggested on the directions

So far, I am pleased with the unit. I'm particularly pleased with the fact I can fit 2 standard cookie sheets side by side. My previous oven (GE which lasted 24 years until it's "Brain" died) was the same outer size but inner dimensions were smaller. A bonus! My only negatives are: it takes a longer time to come to temperature and (using a gauge) it's cooler in its lower corners by a 100 degrees F, after the signal has indicated full temperature has been reached. I find wifi ability to be unnecessary...just a cute gimmick. I REALLY like the lower heating element is "invisible"...just hope it holds up as well as the prior one.

Went from a 24" to a 27" and couldn't believe how much more room there is. Temperature checked out correct with my oven thermometer. Disappointments: lots of heat comes out of bottom of oven when it's on and door seems big when you open it so it's harder to reach in the oven. Set if up with Alexa but don't know if I would ever use that feature.
