Am disappointed with this dryer. It doesn't hold a big load of laundry, & even on the highest heat setting & timed drying cycle requires 2 to 3 sessions to thoroughly dry clothes. Not convenient nor energy efficient.

The dryer drys great! Buzzer to end cycle is loud and can be heard from a far. My only negative is the noise the dryer makes when spinning. It's much louder than my previous dryer.

Not bad. Perfect size for old style wash rooms where you have less than 30 inches depth to play with. Smart looking, easy to use and extremely quiet compared to my old GE. Would call these drawbacks but a little tricky getting underneath the lint collector when you want to clean out excess lint, and I often have to run things through a second cycle to get things completely dry. But I was fortunate to get through almost 30 years with my old GE dryer. Happy I stayed w GE.

We bought ours at Home Depot. They could not install it because we needed a side vent mount kit. The customer service at GE was not super helpful in getting this kit so I made it myself from Home Depot and it saved me 1/2 the cost and hassle.

We owned the previous model of this dryer for the last 9 years. Just the knobs and there functions started giving way and were going to be more expense to replace than to just buy a new one. The unit itself had been and was working fine but to replace the panel was going to be a major undertaking. Our appliance guy who installed it and services our other appliances suggested we got more use than we should have expected from a dryer and it was probably past time for a new one. We figured we would just stay with the same model and hope for the same level of good use.

It was the only dryer I could find that would fit. All the others are to big. Good job GE for making a smaller dryer that fits tight spaces. Dries super fast and has great features like low,medium, and high heat settings. Also like being able to turn off end of cycle buzzer.

I don't like giving bad reviews but I felt the need to warn others that this is not a good unit. I replaced my 20 year old dryer with this and I regret the purchase. This dryer is extremely loud, far more loud than my old dryer. My dryer is on the second floor and I can clearly hear it when I am on the first floor. It makes s secondary noise that sounds like there are little pebbles whirling around somewhere in the unit. I had my dryer vent cleaned out only days prior to having this installed and I purchased new venting with this. There is no way that noise is coming from something already present because my prior dryer didn't make this pebble noise. Further, this is extremely small. I needed something for a small space but I'm at a loss as to why the capacity is smaller than a 20 year old dryer with the same dimensions. I wish I had a choice to return it but that's not the way appliances are handled so I'm stuck with it.

I needed a flat back dryer to fit my limited space. There aren't too many options out there with this feature. GE offers only a few. Let it be said I am replacing a 6 year old GE dryer in a household of two. I am finding this latest model unnecessarily difficult to establish the right setting for my clothes. The automatic label settings are misleading (less dry is more dry and more dry is too dry) and timed dry options take longer than one would expect. I will continue to adjust to find what works best for me but this shouldn't be so difficult.
