My wife loves our new cooktop. It cooks food better than our old one since the grill is further away from the flames. The controls are at the front of the grill instead of on the side which is more convenient and prevents burns. It is easy to use and works great. Also, the price was very reasonable.

Our builder installed this cooktop in our new build which is two months old ™" we moved in June 28th. At time of move in, it had spots of discoloration. The discoloration has gotten worse after move in. We only use appropriate cleaners, we clean immediately after cooking (once cool), and know how to properly care for all surfaces as we own a cleaning company. I contacted schemer service and was told since this is cosmetic, despite that it™™s likely a manufacturer defect ™" their warranty does not cover it and offered me to buy clear coat paint to fix their issue. This is my first time owning Frigidaire appliances and I would never willingly purchase anything from them moving forward. This cooktop was part of our upgraded kitchen package that we paid $7k for. Frigidaire clearly does not back there products. Also one of their excuses was that heat will do that ™" it™™s a stove lol. Funny excuse and sole of the spots are where the knobs are nowhere near heat and once again some were their prior to move in.

I replaced this with an 12 year old 5 burner GE cooktop. The GE had so many repairs though out it's life and it was time to let it go. This one was straight forward install. The only exception was they make it so you have to buy another kit if you have granite counters. Didn't see that coming. I am pleased that I don't miss the 5 burners as opposed to 4 with this. The grates are fairly heavy and sit pretty high. Some of that is a plus and some a minus.All in all not perfect but a good purchase.

My new cooktop looks great in my kitchen. It fairly easy to install with a little help from a friend. It fit in the same granite countertop cutout that my 12 year old cooktop of another brand came out of. I really like the bold look of the tall grates. I'm also very Happy with how powerful it cooks.

I purchased The Frigidaire 30" Gas Cooktop and unfortunately, I've encountered a significant safety issue with the stove top knob. The knob appears to be damaged, causing it to turn randomly and posing a potential risk of gas leaks. I'm worried about the possibility of a gas leak due to the malfunctioning knob.Two burners fail to ignite by themselves, requiring an external igniter to start.The safety issue with the damaged knob is compounded by the fact that two burners do not ignite themselves. This has been an ongoing problem, and it significantly impacts the overall functionality and safety of the appliance.The cost of a replacement knob is unreasonably high, considering it's a single component.Customers should not be burdened with excessive costs for essential components like stove knobs.

I love the look of the cooktop, that™™s what first drew me in. The smooth control of the knobs is great. The heavy grates do not move even when sliding a large griddle. The burner size is adequate for any home cooking.

This gas cooktop is clean and works well. The dials are large and easy to use. The grills are heavy so be careful when cleaning to remove them fully to a safe level surface so that they do not fall over and injure someone.

The builder put this cooktop in our home and we have purchased 11 knobs in 2 1/2 years because they keep breaking. This is my second gas stove and I never had this problem with my GE one. Each knob is around $60 plus tax and shipping. The front and back burners are too close to each other which is a problem when you cook with more than 2 pans/pots.

The stove is great.........tho the gas stands are too easily jarred loose. And the grate over each set of burners is so heavy, it's ridiculous to lift for cleaning, especially for a smaller person. I asked if there was an alternative, lighter one, but there is not. Those two issues aside, the stove works great.

CANNOT BE PROPERLY CLEANEDThis model looks good, but is NOT practical. I™™m shocked to see all the 5 star reviews, not buying it. If you™™re like me, you will not be happy with this cooktop. It doesn™™t come clean. The grates are a type of powder coated metal that looks like crap after one use. If you slide a pot or pan, you™™ll see the scrape marks. If you spill anything, it won™™t completely come off no matter what you do. AND I™™M A VERY NEAT COOK! Also, no matter what type of sponge or other cleaning instrument you use, you™™ll see remnants of it on the grate. Sponge crumbs off on it, fabric same. Then, the metal looks powdery gray. If you run your finger along the metal, same thing happens. The cooktop surface is also problematic. You™™ll see the outline of anything that spills while cooking no matter what you use to clean it when it™™s wet which means it™™s not actually coming off. I tried all manner of cleaners including barkeepers friend which is a gentle, phenomenal ™scrub™™. So if I™™ve only had this unit less than one month? I™™m not seeing this as something I can live with. It™™s a shame because it™™s a good looking unit. But looks don™™t cut it if you™™re going to be a slave to it. My last cooktop, a Kenmore, was 23 years old and still working.
